Trainee Programme

The CIRSE annual congress provides IR trainees, residents and young IRs a fantastic opportunity to enrich their education and training while also networking and socialising with interventionists from around the globe. Trainees are offered a wide range of events and sessions tailor-made for their needs at the beginning of their career.

The CIRSE Annual Congress is the world’s biggest IR congress attracting thousands of participants every year to watch more than 400 lectures on the latest data, procedural tips and tricks, and clinical aspects of the specialty. In addition, all relevant medical companies offer insights into the latest technical innovations via symposia, learning centres and extensive technical exhibition.

If you are a young interventionist, attending a CIRSE can boost your career in numerous ways. It will let you

  • deepen your IR knowledge with engaging scientific sessions as well as fundamental courses
  • get hands-on device training or training on the simulators
  • see and handle the newest IR devices exhibited by the leaders of the medical device industry
  • attend the European Trainee Forum sessions to learn key competences and get valuable career advice
  • take part in the European Trainee Forum social events and meet your colleagues and peers from around Europe
  • build your professional network and meet the opinion leaders of the European IR community

Residents and IRs in training can attend CIRSE at significantly reduced rates.
