Presenting author, “Extended outcomes of genicular artery embolization for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis: results from a prospective investigational device exemption trial.”

Why did you choose CIRSE to submit your scientific abstract?

Padia: The CIRSE audience is the greatest representation of interventional radiologists throughout the world. Therefore, presenting at the meeting has the greatest potential to reach a broad and diverse audience.

Are there any special considerations to take into account when submitting this type of abstract?

We considered the potential impact to practices, given that our data was novel and of significant potential interest in the IR community.

How did you find the submission process?

The submission process was very straightforward. The requests for extraneous information are minimized, making your time well spent.

Do you have any tips for physicians considering submitting an abstract?

When considering submission of an abstract, make sure to plan ahead several months. The analysis should be completed at the time of abstract submission, and works-in-progress should ideally be avoided. Consider the overall generalizability of your work, and if the IR community is your target audience. Finally, the abstract and project should have a clear and succinctly stated hypothesis and conclusion.

Will you submit an abstract for CIRSE 2023 as well?

We are absolutely planning to submit an abstract for CIRSE 2023!
