SPHAIRE – Spotlight on AI and emerging technologies in IR

SPHAIRE is an interactive area dedicated to deepening the understanding of what artificial intelligence (AI) can bring to interventional radiology (IR). Artificial intelligence (AI) and related cutting-edge technologies are increasingly being used in healthcare. AI algorithms can help future decision making in IR and develop predictive models, improve image quality, support navigation, and reduce radiation doses. AI therefore holds great potential for IR.

In 2024, CIRSE launched SPHAIRE, a dedicated area at the CIRSE Annual Congress which features an exhibition and an open podium for presentations and interactive discussions. After meeting with great interest, SPHAIRE was again offered at CIRSE 2025.

SPHAIRE aims to bring together AI companies, MedTech companies, interventionists, researchers, scientists, and engineers to support knowledge acquisition, mutual understanding, networking, and increased collaborations between groups.
