Lisbon
Known as the powerhouse for European research and development, Lisbon was home to Jesuit Colleges dating back to the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries that were sites of innovative scientific teachings that contributed hugely to the fields of mathematics and navigation. Later in 1949, the Portuguese neurologist António Egas Moniz was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for being an early developer of the cerebral angiography.

Transportation
Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport is one of the major gateways to Europe, connecting the Portuguese capital with 125 national and international destinations. From the airport, the city centre can easily be reached via various bus lines and taxi. The congress centre is also very well connected to the city centre with various bus and tram lines taking you there.
