Open call: amazing interventions
During the Amazing Interventions session both unusual and challenging procedures will be presented. The emphasis will be to highlight innovative ways in which interventional radiologists can solve difficult problems and overcome tough situations.
Did you treat a patient by an uncommon approach that proved to be successful and new? Be part of this year’s annual congress by sharing your most challenging case with the IR community in the Amazing Interventions session (Sunday, September 10, 2023, 16:15-17:15) coordinated by Prof. Thomas Kröncke!
All submitters of accepted cases will receive free registration for the congress.
Application criteria:
- Well-documented cases with appropriate follow-up
- Cases should either
- illustrate innovative ways to achieve the desired outcome by means of access route, imaging guidance or used materials,
- include new forms of an IR treatment for common diseases,
- or demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving in difficult situations (e.g. procedure-related complications or complex cases)
- Cases should be both educational and entertaining
Required documents:
- PowerPoint file containing the relevant images intended to illustrate the case as well as caption providing context to the images shown (max. file size 16MB)
- Short description of the case (background; treatment plan; explanation why the case is exceptional, the approach innovative or the solution presented of interest to the IR community)
- Presentation title
- Confirmation that the case has not been published or presented elsewhere
