Moving from radiation protection to safety culture

The Radiation Protection Pavilion was launched in 2014 as an interactive awareness campaign for radiation protection and dose management in interventional radiology. CIRSE 2024´s instalment of this project in Lisbon offered tailored information and services to interventional professionals for safe day-to-day practice.

Congress delegates had the opportunity to test their skills and knowledge and take part in a range of exciting activities proposed by the Radiation Protection Subcommittee and were kindly supported by our industry partners.

The 2024 RPP

This year, the RPP focused on different themes each day. You can now watch the sessions on demand via the CIRSE Library:

• Saturday, September 14 – Optimizing protection: Protecting patients and staff in IR procedures
• Sunday, September 15 – Effects of high radiation dose, including the first RPP M&M session
• Monday, September 16 – Women in IR, including the first RPP round table discussion
• Tuesday, September 17 – Optimizing training
