Dr. Ní Mhíocháin de Grae graduated from the University of Galway, Ireland, with First Class Honours in Medicine in 2023 and was awarded the David Bouchier-Hayes Medal in Surgery in her final year. She also holds a Master’s degree in Surgery from the University of Galway, graduating with First Class Honours.
Dr. Ní Mhíocháin de Grae is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MRCSI) and is currently undertaking Higher Specialist Training in Plastic Surgery in Ireland, having ranked first nationally in the selection process for Plastic Surgery Higher Specialist Training. She has a strong interest in academic surgery and translational research, with particular interests in reconstructive surgery, skin oncology, and microsurgery. She has presented her research at national and international meetings and has contributed to collaborative research across surgery and interventional radiology. The European Congress of Radiology has twice awarded her the Invest in the Youth Scholarship.
