Abstract submission
Submitting your abstract to CIRSE will enable you to share your work at the world’s most comprehensive IR meeting.

The deadline for CIRSE abstract submission is March 20, 2025 (23:59 CET).
Notifications regarding acceptance or rejection of submitted abstracts will be available by mid-May. All presenting authors of oral and poster presentations are expected to register for and attend CIRSE 2025. Poster presenters need to complete and pay their registration by the end of August, otherwise the poster will be withdrawn from the CIRSE 2025 programme. Costs associated with the submission and presentation of an abstract are the responsibility of the presenter.

CIRSE will host another instalment of the intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) case competition at CIRSE 2025. Abstracts for this competition can be submitted under the IVUS abstract type.
Abstracts on AI or new technology can be submitted to SPHAIRE, CIRSE’s platform for artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in interventional radiology.

FIRST@CIRSE clinical trial
Description
Describes a clinical trial with a prospective study design. The final data set has to be presented for the first time at CIRSE 2024 (meta-analysis and systematic reviews are not eligible).

Trial design and methodology
Description
Allows physicians to submit abstracts for upcoming, registered trials in the early stages, that focus on the description of trial design, methods and operational aspects (meta-analysis and systematic reviews are not eligible).

Poster Awards
The winners of the Poster Awards will be selected by the CIRSE Scientific Programme Committee.
All winners of poster awards will
- receive an invitation to submit a manuscript to CVIR

In addition, the presenter of the poster receiving the Magna Cum Laude Award will
- receive free registration for a CIRSE 2026 congress of their choice
